Parker is a water colorist whose paintings
reflect a love of both New England and the islands of the Caribbean.
In addition to his fine art water colors, his many faceted
talents include large murals, wall graphics and

carved
and gilded signs. His formal art education is from the Portland
School of
art, and early in his career he taught at the Governor
Baxter School for the deaf. As a student
he enjoyed such
artists' guidance as
Andrew Wyeth, Lawrence Sisson
and John Muench. Originally from Monson, Maine,
he spent "many seasons" in Carrabassett
Valley, and
then relocated to the Virgin
Islands where he enjoys capturing
the vivid island colors in his work.
He currently divides his time
between Maine in the
summer months and
Port Orange, Fla.
during the
winter.
